Natural Split

Outline
Taking advantage of the shape of the long and narrow L-shaped site, this exclusive residence consists of a series of bent walls, divided into upper and lower sections from a waist height of 1,100mm, with horizontal windows and terraces in the gaps between the displaced walls to provide lighting. In order to emphasize the composition and structure of the building, as well as the displacement of light, the interior of the second floor is finished with black oil stained lauan plywood for the ceiling and upper part of the walls, and glass and white boards for the lower part.
