House of Noninvestment
Chitoshi Kihara Architect and Associates
- Outline
- In addition to rooms for the couple and a spare private room, a room for viewing the owner's collection of Shiko Munakata's paintings and a tea ceremony room were required to make the most of the couple's common interests, which are not found in ordinary houses. A lot of lattices with varying materials, members, and pitches are used, and the design is conscious of the Japanese "transparency" that controls wind and light.
