INARIYU NAGAYA

Outline
The "Inari-yu Restoration and Revitalization Project" was launched by the general incorporated association "Sendo to Machi" with the aim of preserving and passing on the cultural and social value of a public bathhouse founded in the Taisho era, which was once a center of interaction in the community. The project played a variety of roles, including planning, research, application for registration as a tangible cultural property, design, construction, and operation, and restored one of the two row houses attached to Takinogawa Inari-yu to its original appearance and the other to a salon. The project attempted to extend the community inside the bathhouse to the outside of the town, creating a place where residents of multiple generations can casually drop by and connect with the local community.
