AKIHISA HIRATA ARCHITECTURE OFFICE
Outline
The church was relocated from the renovated space of the pastor's home on a hill in Higashi-Totsuka, and newly built, with a roof composed of 24 plates with gaps between them, and a cloud-like ceiling that allows light to penetrate the interior. It is hoped that the church will become not only a place of worship and celebration, but also a place like a home where the people of the town can gather, and the actions of the church will be gently connected to the town and transmitted.
