Outline
The café stands on high ground in Rikuzentakata City, Iwate Prefecture, which was devastated by the tsunami that followed the Great East Japan Earthquake. This is the main facility of a community café that was temporarily built after the earthquake (1206). It is a space where local people can gather and various events such as concerts and workshops are held. A doctor's office and pharmacy are also located on the site.
