Outline
A rebuilding of the ceremony hall (儺oi-den) in the company of Owari Ogokuryoujin. It will be the stage for the famous annual event, the Tsuinaoi ritual (commonly known as the Kokufu Miya Hadaka Festival). Traditional wooden construction method was adopted without reinforcing the joints with metal fittings. The seismic performance of the building has been evaluated by calculating the limit of bearing capacity. With a total floor area of 585m2, it is one of the largest new buildings in Japan built using the traditional wooden construction method.
