Slender pillars are placed around the perimeter to bear the vertical load and to block the sunlight from entering the room, creating a deeply carved expression. The finish is GRC granite panels. The horizontal forces are borne by the seismic damping braces on the south side of the building, the viscous damper wall in the core on the north side, and the ultra mild steel quake-resistant wall.
