Outline
This house was converted from the emergency temporary housing built in the Great East Japan Earthquake using the Itakura construction method. The original floor plan was utilized to avoid major structural changes. In addition, by installing high windows, ground windows, latticed doors and louvers, we aimed to improve the reduction of thermal load by natural ventilation.
