Norisada Maeda Atelier
Outline
The house is built on a cliff with a height difference of 3m from east to west. The exterior is finished with a galvanized metal block with M8 bolts, and its form is inspired by the machine head of a guitar. Two long slits cut into the upper floor let light into the lower floor, and at the same time they divide the rooms on the second floor into a maze. The music studio and LDK are located on the lower floor, which consists of RC walls and four rod pillars, surrounded by glass. Due to the difference in the tightening force of the bolts, each piece of galvalume has a different quality, giving it a rich expression.
