- Renovation (repair) of the University of Tokyo General Library (design: Shozo Uchida), completed in 1928. 2017 saw the construction of the General Library Annex (Honkan 1812), which holds approximately 3 million volumes, in the basement of the library plaza (center photo). In this renovation, the main library and the annex were connected underground.
