A 50-year-old ryokan (japanese inn) located in kinosaki onsen was renovated with an entrance hall, banquet hall, and kitchen on the first floor, and some guest rooms on the second floor. the restaurant, which was converted from a banquet hall, has an entrance and is open for lunch to guests who are not staying at the ryokan. the lounge and restaurant have vaulted ceilings, and facilities are concentrated between the vaults. light reflects off the vaulted ceiling and changes brightness in stages toward the back of the room.
