- A Japanese restaurant constructed in an area where expatriates and high-income earners live in the southeast of Kampala, the capital of Uganda. Eucalyptus wood is fast-growing and inexpensive, and is used for roof trusses and scaffolding at construction sites, but it is not often used locally as a facing material because of its tendency to twist and warp. However, because of its tendency to twist and warp, it is not often used as a material for building sites. Here, a new construction method that takes advantage of the characteristics of the timber is used to make it possible to use it as a material for building sites.
