FUJISAWA SHUHEI MEMORIAL MUSEUM

Outline
A memorial hall for the writer Fujisawa Shuhei, located on the site of the former main castle of Tsuruoka Castle, surrounded by shrines and cultural assets. The building is built using the traditional local construction method of sheathing (steel-framed sheathing surrounds a reinforced concrete storehouse). Some of the gardens are reconstructed by transplanting trees and Oya stones from the garden of the former Fujisawa residence.
