Outline
The site is a long and narrow cliff with a view to the city of Kyoto. The site borders a steep front road that requires a lot of piling work. The entire area is designated as a Type 2 Scenic Area, which restricts the roof shape and requires the exterior walls to be set back 2 meters from the front road. The aim of the project was to transform these qualities of the land into a living space for human beings.
