MUSIC inn Fujieda
Yusuke Koshima ArchitecTure Studio
- Outline
- Plan for a residential music production studio. A traditional earthen warehouse built during the Meiji period was renovated into a music studio. Accommodations and a bookstore were added to the existing buildings on the site. The tea room was partially demolished to create a circular window and a new sliding entrance. The storehouse was constructed on a double floating slab foundation with vibration-damping rubber in between, and the walls and ceilings were designed without parallel surfaces to suppress flutter echoes.
