Outline: This community hub was created through the integrated renovation of a former bank (a registered tangible cultural property), which had been used as a tourist information center, and a former credit union donated to the city, combined with an existing large parking lot. The former credit union, “Tenno Pia,” now houses a café and community spaces, while the tourist information center has been repurposed to include exhibition spaces. There are three approaches to the site; along the parking lot, a single-sloped awning (h = 2,700–3,300 mm) and a “Town Counter” have been installed beneath it.

Location
