Outline: The “Pig in Love Research Institute” (Issue 1305), operated by the Social Welfare Corporation Fuku-Gaku-Dan, and the Kurimoto No. 1 Firewood and Charcoal Supply Center (1K) (Issue 1809; both designed by Atelier One)—a 13-unit group home where people with disabilities (10 units), caregivers (1 unit), and general staff (2 units) live together within the community. The building’s axis is set at a 45-degree angle to the front road, and a square-plan communal living room and residential units with butterfly-shaped floor plans based on a square grid are arranged to surround a central courtyard.
