Outline: A four-unit apartment complex located in a neighborhood at the northeastern edge of downtown Kyoto. The four buildings are arranged by rotating and mirroring the basic floor plan by 90 degrees. By integrating the four buildings with an outer perimeter canopy, the number of load-bearing walls was minimized, and large openings were created on each facade. Each unit measures 40 m² and is designed to be owned as a home office or a second home.
