Outline: A new 12-room hotel built in the Ieura settlement on Teshima Island in the Seto Inland Sea. The client is the same as for “Teshima Factory” (designed by Schema Detection Project; see issue 2606 of this magazine). Anticipating that the building will also serve as employee housing in the future, the design aimed to create an environment similar to that of local residents’ homes, based on the spatial composition of the surrounding settlements.
