- A row house of seven units and the owner's detached house are built on a landscaped lot cut down from a gently sloping hillside in the suburbs of Tokyo. The two-story volumes, each about 3 ken (≈5.4 m) square, are lined up in a row of geese. The space enclosed by the row of houses is a "street wall" that leads from the southern entrance to the public road to the north, about 3 meters below.
