Simone Veil Bridge
OMA
- Outline
- The vast 549-meter-long, 44-meter-wide bridge is a neutral public space with a four-lane roadway, public transportation, dedicated bicycle lanes, and a maximum-width sidewalk that can be used for events, markets, and other multi-purpose uses. This scale was achieved by simplifying the structure and design to keep costs down. The bridge itself restores its role as an urban space, while connecting redevelopment areas on both banks.
