- A city where Toyota is conducting demonstration tests. As a test course for mobility, it will develop and demonstrate not only personal mobility and underground delivery robots, but also services and technologies centered on mobility of people, goods, information, and energy. The site will be constructed on the site of a former Toyota plant, with part of the plant remaining outside the Phase 1 area to be used as the Inventor Garage, a laboratory for inventors. Other companies in the Toyota Group will also participate in the demonstration, and improvements will be made based on feedback from residents. Development will be accelerated by utilizing the assets of the Toyota Group, including the use of a digital twin to conduct demonstrations not only on a real test course in Susono City, Shizuoka Prefecture, but also in a virtual space.
