Port Plus Obayashi Yokohama Training Center

Outline
1,990 m3 of timber was used in this fire-resistant, one-story, 11-story, pure-wood high-rise building. The columns and beams are made of "Omega Wood (fire-resistant)," a fire-resistant wood construction technology developed with technical assistance from Shelter. To ensure the rigidity of the structure, a joint unit was developed by combining LVL with GIR joints and super-thick plywood.
