The Bombing of Rafah

- This report reconstructs in detail the events that occurred in Rafah, Gaza Strip, in 2014. In it, Forensic Architecture analyzed hundreds of images and videos to determine the bombing sites and filming locations, and then created a 3D model documentation of the entire city. Within the model, photos and videos were placed to tell the story of one of the most violent days of the 2014 Israel-Gaza war. The model illustrates the potential of architecture to serve as an "effective device" in the investigation of state and corporate violence and human rights abuses.
