- A total of 70 students participated in two 28-day workshops in Kesennuma City, which was devastated by the Great East Japan Earthquake, and designed and built a temporary meeting place (photo: traditional local Toramai dance). The building was self-built using native bamboos, and a spiral-shaped building was created. Friction with the local community and administrative procedures were adjusted, and two years later, the "Hama-no-Kaijo" was constructed nearby. In the summer of 2019, the building will be dismantled after completing its role.
