Ted Whitten + Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects
- Outline
- The Transit Center and Tower replaced the former Transit Center built in 1939 and was created as the central hub of the city connecting 11 public transportation facilities. The transit center spans four blocks and includes a 2.2 ha rooftop park with direct access to public transportation. It is connected to the adjacent blocks by bridges. A central skylight "light column" will provide light down to the basement.
