- The Sony Building (1966) reconstruction project designed by Yoshinobu Ashihara. After Phase 1, in which the building was demolished and opened as a park with a floor-area ratio of approximately 50% (see photo above), the building will open in 2025 (see photo below). Despite its prime location in Ginza, the building's height is kept to a minimum, and it is operated as a space used for events and exhibitions without fixed tenants. The Sony Building's "Ginza Garden" will be expanded into a "Ginza Park," and its use will change flexibly with the times, from a showroom to a plaza, and then to a cultural center that will create a space that creates margins in the city.
