Kogakuin University 125th Memorial Education Center
Manabu Chiba
- Outline
- The overall plan consists of four L-shaped school buildings, a passage between them, and plazas at the four corners of the site. In a university where various ways of gathering people are intermingled, the conventional one-corridor building is reversed and classrooms face each other, creating a new relationship by allowing the students to see each other's activities through the passages. Different structural forms, openings, and finishes are used throughout the building as teaching materials for the architecture department.
