House for the Poem of the Right Angle

Outline
Radick designed this house as a retreat for his wife, the sculptor Marcella Correa. The Poem of Right Angles is inspired by Le Corbusier's collection of prints and the lithograph "C2 Body," from which the cavernous interior space can be seen. The brown body of a towering phallic erection on a black background is transformed into a cedar wood model on a black base by Alejandro Ruel, eventually becoming a distorted black concrete shell with a barnacle-like opening protruding, and a root-like sculpture by Correa floating inside the cedar wood-covered interior.
