Holocaust Memorial Berlin

Outline
The 2,711 concrete monuments are arranged in a neat row on a wavy ground surface of approximately 19,000 m2. The monuments are 2.375 x 0.95 m in plan, spaced 0.95 m apart, and vary in height up to 4.7 m above the ground. Visitors walk between these monuments. The experience of walking individually is intended to be an experience of "living memory" in the present, rather than a nostalgic recollection of the past.
