Central East Tokyo

Outline
An event in which vacant buildings in the wholesale district of Tokyo's East Side are hijacked with art, turning the entire district into a gallery. The event was held continuously from 2003 to 2010, filling up vacant buildings one after another and changing the image of the city. This phenomenon is called "area renovation," and has since spread throughout Japan.
