Gantenbein Vineyard Facade

Outline
Grammatius Kohler Research, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), designed this brick facade with grapes as the design motif. The bricks are stacked slightly out of alignment so that sunlight leaks into the building through the joints. Robots were used for the construction, and 20,000 bricks were precisely positioned at the specified angles and locations.
