“Zenkai” House
Katsuhiro Miyamoto
- Outline
- Miyamoto revived a house that was declared totally destroyed by the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake by inserting a steel frame structure. The existing damaged wooden frame frame transfers the load to the steel frame, which is placed in between the wooden frame and the steel frame, and continues to be a vessel that preserves the memory of the earthquake and its inhabitants.
