The New German Parliament, Reichstag

Outline
The former parliament building, which had fallen into ruins after World War II, was renovated and turned into the Bundestag on the occasion of the reunification of East and West Germany. The great dome, which once overlooked the city of Berlin, has been reconstructed in glass and transformed into an observation deck. The dome's spiral ramp, which also serves as a structure, provides a view of the chamber and appeals to the transparency of politics.
