Acros Fukuoka

Outline
Constructed on the site of the former prefectural government office, it inherited its former function as a park in three dimensions as a stepped garden on the south side. The rooftop space, open to the public, deepens its relationship with the natural environment as the plants grow, and forms a continuous urban forest with the prefectural Tenjin Central Park to the south, embodying an architectural form that coexists with the city over time. The landscaping was overseen by Rio Tase, who has continued to supervise the maintenance since the completion of the project.
