- The ten differently sized kers (dwelling huts) have double-skinned roofs made of Iroko wood. The position of the outer roof is designed to take advantage of the seasonal breezes from the sea and to direct the flow of the wind from time to time. It celebrates the culture of the Kanak tribes of New Caledonia by blending ancient traditions with modern architectural innovations.
