Pao: A Dwelling for Tokyo Nomad Women

- An installation presented at an exhibition at the Shibuya Seibu Department Store. The lifestyle of a young woman enjoying urban life in a consumer society is expressed through three types of furniture: "furniture for knowledge," "furniture for fashion," and "furniture for snacks. These are covered with cloth like a Mongolian pao, creating a physical and temporary dwelling. Kazuyo Sejima, a member of Ito's office at the time, was also involved in the design.
