- Isamu Noguchi's residence, workshop, and indoor exhibition space were relocated and renovated from a private house and warehouse in Kagawa Prefecture. The tension with traditional architecture is expressed in the renovation of some of the tatami mats into soft stone and the placement of Isamu Noguchi's artwork. Since 1999, the museum has been operated as the Isamu Noguchi Garden Museum, consisting of 10 indoor exhibition spaces and an outdoor sculpture garden.
