St Benedict’s Chapel
Peter Zumthor
- Outline
- The church faces the mountain road through the village. It is made of wood, the traditional building material of the region. The boat-like, enveloping form, based on the primitive image of the local church, is defined by half of the Lemniscate curve, which is based on the designer's free hand.
