- The museum is built on a transgressive archaeological site that is highly regarded as a critical regionalism. The entire building is modeled after the Roman architectural system, while the architectural grid is based on axes defined by Roman construction and contemporary Jose Ramon Merida streets. The architectural grid, on the other hand, intersects the axes defined by the Roman construction with those of the contemporary Via José Ramón Merida.
