- The core of Tsukuba Science City, this complex consists of two buildings surrounding a central plaza in the shape of an L. The plaza is inverted in color, and the saw-toothed columns of Ledoux and other references to historical styles are scattered in fragments. The design attempts to create an architecture with a multifaceted place by combining various design elements, such as the color-reversed Campidoglio Square and Ledoux's serrated columns, which are taken from historical styles, and pure geometric forms scattered in fragments.
