Tower House
Takamitsu Azuma
- Outline
- This is a small house with a floor space of 3.6 tsubo (3.6 square meters) built on a 6 tsubo (3.6 square meters) triangular lot that appeared as a result of road widening during the Tokyo Olympics. The house is made of fair-faced concrete with no doors other than the entrance, and the six stories are connected vertically. During the period of rapid economic growth when suburban areas were becoming bed towns, this house proposed and practiced a new lifestyle of living close to work and living in the city center.
