- A vinyard-shaped hall is placed at the center of the project, surrounded by an irregularly shaped stepped seating area. The exterior, including the complex roof, reflects the function and space of the interior. The building was planned as a new cultural district along with the adjacent National Library (1976), designed by Charoun, and the new National Gallery (1969), designed by Mies.
