- Designed by Fujio Matsushita, a pioneer of lattice shell structures in Japan, this is a large 65 x 70 m roof consisting of three elliptical parabolas. Through the development of the diamond shell structure, which applied the shell theory to the lattice shell structure, he applied it to many spatial structures, including school gymnasiums.
