Robert Maillart
- Outline
- A thin-film shell of reinforced concrete by Robert Maillard, who designed many bridges. With a span of 15 meters, a height of 12 meters, and a thickness of only 6 centimeters, the structure makes a strong impression. Architectural historian Guidion described it as "like a silken balloon trying to stay afloat.
