Aircraft Hangars for the Italian Air Force

Outline
A large 102 x 37 m column-free space was realized in reinforced concrete by means of rib vaults that intersect diagonally with the rectangular plan (photo on the right). In 1941, six similar hangars were constructed in Orbetello, also using precast concrete.
