- The first public housing project in Japan to address housing shortages and improve living conditions. Based on the Streamline Modern style, the project carefully considered details adapted to the tropical climate and culture, such as a five-foot-wide public walkway (1.5-meter public walkway) and back lanes inspired by traditional shophouses. The area is still inhabited today and has developed into a popular neighborhood with both historical value and modern charm.
