Mitsui Main Building
Trawbridge & Livingston
- Outline
- The New York design and construction firm built this Classical Revival-style headquarters office with a Roman Corinthian order. Takuma Dan's three mottos, "Magnificence, Decency, Simplicity," were embodied in the design. This is the first case (2005) of application of the "Special Special Town System for Important Cultural Properties," which aims to achieve compatibility between the preservation of important cultural properties and the redevelopment of urban areas in central Tokyo.
