- This is the culmination of Fujii's experiments in living environments, in which he re-evaluated traditional houses based on scientific findings. The floor plan is open and airy, with vents under the floor and in the ceiling for ventilation. The house is designed in the sukiya style, but with Art Deco and Modernist influences. The height of the tatami mats and other aspects of the lifestyle also attempt to integrate Japanese and Western styles. A study (1928) and a tea ceremony room (1931) are adjacent to the house. He also built a kettle on the site and had Kiyomizu-yaki potters produce daily necessities and vases, which he named "Fujiyaki".
