Villas la Roche-Jeanneret
Le Corbusier
- Outline
- A series of houses for La Roche, a collector of paintings, and Jeanneret, Le Corbusier's cousin. Le Corbusier conceived the idea of experimental spaces, such as the five principles of modern architecture and the architectural promenade, in several houses in the 1920s. The latter term was used to describe the continuity and transformation of space from the hall to the gallery in this house.
